Vijayendra Yediyurappa, Yediyurappa’s son, takes over as Karnataka BJP president.

BY Vijayendra has officially taken over as Karnataka BJP President, succeeding Nalin Kumar Kateel. BY Vijayendra, the newly chosen Karnataka BJP President, took over the state party office here on Wednesday.

Former Chief Ministers BS Yediyurappa, Basavaraj Bommai, and D V Sadananda Gowda, as well as prominent party officials, were there. On November 10, the 47-year-old first-time MLA and son of BJP veteran and member of the party’s all-powerful Parliamentary board, Yediyurappa, was appointed to the role.

Vijayendra, who had previously served as the state unit’s general secretary and vice president, took over for Nalin Kumar Kateel.

Kateel, a three-time Lok Sabha member from Dakshina Kannada, had finished his three-year term as BJP state president and had been granted an extension last year. Vijayendra previously stated that he was given the task as a party worker and not merely because he is Yediyurappa’s son.

He had stated that the primary issues before him were to develop the party organization by bringing everyone together and to win the most seats in the state in the Lok Sabha elections.
