Traders fought on SP Road over shops on footfall, 2 people injured
Two persons were hurt in a brawl on Saturday as a result of the dispute between retailers and touts of electronic products and computer accessories over luring clients to SP Road, Bengaluru’s retail district.
On the bustling avenue, there were tense moments when a few business owners locked their doors and demanded that the police safeguard store owners and consumers by taking action against the touts.
According to a police officer, there is a constant conflict between business owners of storefronts that face the street and those that have stores hidden away in byways or on upper floors.
When a consumer comes to the street, they often examine the first few stores at the road’s entrance. Foot traffic in the byways was being impacted by this.
