South Western Railway revises timings of Mangaluru-Bengaluru-Mangaluru special trains | Mangaluru News – Times of India

MANGALURU: South Western Railway’s (SWR) Hubballi headquarters has revised timings of Bengaluru-Mangaluru-Bengaluru special trains delaying their departure time at Bengaluru and by advancing the departure timing at Mangaluru.
This follows demand from Dakshina Kannada MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, SWR’s zonal railway users’ consultative committee member Kunjal Venkatesh Kini and Paschima Karavali Railway Yatri Abhivriddhi Samiti.
The change in timings will be in force till such time that regular train services resume. Accordingly, train 06515 KSR Bengaluru – Mangaluru Central Special Express will depart at 10.30pm and reach Mangaluru Central at 8.25am the next day for service starting from Saturday. The train is scheduled to reach Kunigal at 11.48 pm, Hassan at 1.40am, Sakleshpur at 2.40am and Subrahmanya Road at 5.35am, a SWR communique stated.
Train 06516 Mangaluru Central – KSR Bengaluru Special Express will depart at 7.15pm to reach Bengaluru Central at 4.15am the next day from Sunday. The train will reach Subrahmanya Road at 9.05pm, Sakleshpur at 11.40pm, Hassan at 12.40am and Kunigal at 2.39am.
There is no change in departure timing of train 06517 Bengaluru-Mangaluru Central Special Express via Mysuru as time of pairing train 06518 has been advanced. Train 06518 Mangaluru Central – KSR Bengaluru Special Express will depart Mangaluru Central at 7.15pm to reach Bengaluru at 6.45am the next day fom Saturday. The train arrives at Subrahmanya Road at 9.05pm, Hassan at 12.50am and Mysuru at 3.30am.
Likewise, SWR has revised the timing of train 06585 Yeshwantpur-Karwar Special Express with no change in departure timing at Yeshwantpur (6.45pm) from Saturday. Its arrival and departure timing between Hassan and Bantwal have revised a bit to ensure punctuality.
