Samosa seller, aide open fire at realtor in Bengaluru | Bengaluru News – Times of India

BENGALURU: Two men opened fire at and attacked with a machete a real estate businessman who, however, survived the attack in KR Puram on Saturday night over rivalry.
According to police, Babu aka Auto Babu of Chandapura, near Anekal, was injured in the incident.
Babu identified his attackers as Sohail, who runs a Samosa shop opposite to his office ‘Vaksana Group’ and Sohail’s friend Mirza.
According to KR Puram police, the incident took place around 9.15 pm when Babu was alone at his office.
Babu told police that Sohail and Mirza barged into his office. The attackers wielded machetes. Mirza opened two rounds of fire at Babu. One bullet misfired, while another hit Babu’s right hand. Sohail hit Babu a few times with a machete. “I pushed away the duo and fled from my office. I rushed into a neighbouring house and locked up myself from inside. Later, the attackers fled from the spot seeing public gathering,” Babu told police.
Babu rushed to a nearby hospital where he is under treatment. He is out of danger, police said, quoting doctors.
According to KR Puram police, customers frequenting Sohail’s Samosa shop till late night would park their vehicles on the road and block the path to Babu’s office. Babu had complained against Sohail and tried to get him vacated. Sohail allegedly assaulted Babu four months ago. Babu too had allegedly assaulted him in return. The duo approached KR Puram police and were told to bury their hatchet.
But Sohail thought his business was affected because of Babu and decided to eliminate him and attacked him.
