No need for Covid negative certificate at Aero India | Bengaluru News – Times of India

BENGALURU: Visitors to the ongoing Aero India 2021 on Friday need not carry Covid negative certificates, the health department has said.
Modifying a previous order which required visitors to carry a Covid negative report to the show, the health department on Thursday issued a new circular stating that the mandatory wearing of masks, use of sanitisers and fever screening precau-tions were sufficient. The department revised its man-date, based on recommendations from the technical advisory committee.
In the circular, Jawaid Akhtar, additional chief sec-retary, health department said the air display viewing area is a vast open space with adequate spacing between seats and the show is being conducted for only two hours at a stretch.“ It has been observed that there is strict compliance to Covid-19 precautions like compulsory wearing of face masks, face covers, compul-sory thermal scanning for fever and provision of hand sanitisers,” the circular said.
