Let Karnataka CM BS Yediyurappa dismiss KS Eshwarappa from cabinet: DK Shivakumar | Mangaluru News – Times of India

MANGALURU: KPCC president DK Shivakumar dared chief minister BS Yediyurappa to dismiss rural development and panchayat raj minister KS Eshwarappa if the government is functioning properly else “submit his resignation voluntarily.”
Shivakumar told reporters on Saturday that Eshwarappa has justified that the facts written in the letter to the governor were true and he also claimed himself as a loyalist.
“It is a matter of the state’s administration. Let Yediyurappa dismiss Eshwarappa if he wants to continue as the chief minister. Don’t ask for his resignation. Dismiss him,” Shivakumar said.
On Eshwarappa’s letter to governor Vajubhai Vala accusing Yediyurappa of interfering in his department, Shivakuamar said it was not just a letter, but a communication made by a senior most cabinet minister to the person who administered oath to him about government’s administration and its functioning.
“Let Eshwarappa write to his party high command or any others. It is their internal matter. However, here a minister has told the constitutional head that he has no confidence in the chief minister, said Shivakumar.
“I was a minister in the S Bangarappa government 30 years ago. I have never come across a minister complaining about the chief minister in my political career,” Shivakumar said, adding that Eshwarappa has exposed the truth that the administration in the BJP government is not on the right path.
There is a collapse in the administration and officials are not able to work. Officers, including commissioners of the city corporations and other seniors, are transferred once three-six months.
“How can people expect administration when officials are transferred once in three-six months,” he questioned.
Shivakumar was on his way to Kasaragod in Kerala to take part in the election campaign of the Congress.
