Karnataka: Social organisation raises funds to help child with burn injuries | Mangaluru News – Times of India
MANGALURU: On receiving a WhatsApp message of a three-year-old suffering from burn injuries, Team B-Human has pooled in Rs 1.70 lakh as treatment cost.
Asif Deals, Founder, Team B- Human told TOI that the boy’s father is a Muallim and mother a homemaker. They hail from an economically poor family, living near Talapady. “The child sustained 80 % burn injuries on June 6. He was injured after boiling water accidentally fell on him in the kitchen. He sustained injuries everywhere below his neck. We got to know about the incident three days later, through the WhatsApp message. We rushed to the private hospital. The boy is currently under observation. We have decided to look after his medical expense, even after he is discharged from the hospital, he said.
The boy’s younger brother is also suffering from kidney and other complications. The parents were already burdened with the rising treatment cost of their younger son. Once this boy recovers, we may consider helping the younger boy with his medical treatment, Asif said.
