Karnataka crosses 2.5 lakh Covid-19 cases, 102 deaths reported in 24 hours | Bengaluru News – Times of India


BENGALURU: Karnataka on Thursday crossed 2.5 lakh Covid-19 cases. The virus has taken 4,429 lives with 102 fatalities reported in last 24 hours.
According to the health and family welfare department, Karnataka reported 7,385 fresh cases and 6,231 recoveries. Among 102 deaths, Bengaluru reported 25, Ballari reported eight and Koppal and Hassan reported seven deaths each.
Bengaluru city reported 2,912 new cases nearing to reported one lakh cases. Ballari reported 483, Belagavi reported 358 and Udupi reported 351 positive cases. The testing in Karnataka has been ramped up in last one week as 59,603 tests were conducted in last 24 hours taking the cumulative figures to 22,56,862.
Karnataka presently has 82,149 active patients and 705 patients are treated in Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
Meanwhile, Maharashtra reported 13,165 new cases and 346 deaths, Tamil Nadu reported 5,795 new cases and 116 deaths, Kerala reported 2,333 new cases and seven deaths, Delhi recorded 1,398 new cases and nine deaths and Andhra Pradesh reported 9,393 positive cases and 95 deaths.
