BENGALURU: The Kalyana-Karnataka association on Wednesday submitted an Rs 600 crore blueprint of the development envisaged for the six districts of the region for the next three years.
Former BJP legislator and chairman of the association, Basavaraj Patil Sedam on Wednesday met chief minister BS Yediyurappa in this regard urged him to release funds to start the work in the region.
However, citing financial constraints, Yediyurappa said the government will release funds in a staggered manner.
According to the people privy to the morning meeting, also attended by additional chief secretary (ACS) ISN Prasad, ACS to chief minister P Ravikumar, CM’s political secretary Shankar Gouda Patil, the association has placed a series of demands for development of the six districts.
“The CM has said the government will start releasing funds for the association depending on the progress of the works taken up in the region. As and when the works are proposed, the finance department will vet the project and release the funds,” said an official.
