Bengaluru: Realtor hangs himself over harassment complaint | Bengaluru News – Times of India
BENGALURU: Upset after a woman named him as a co-accused in a sexual harassment case against his son, a realtor allegedly ended his life at his Doddaballapur house on Wednesday.
Rajanna, 55, from Karenahalli, hanged himself from the ceiling, police said.
A case of abetment to suicide under IPC Section 306 has been registered against Latha (name changed) based on a complaint from Rajanna’s wife Munirathn a. “Our son, Gautham, runs a gym. He came in contact with Latha and a few years ago, she filed a rape complaint against him and alleged that Rajanna had supported him. Police had arrested my husband who later maintained distance from our son. On March 28, she filed a harassment case against Gautham and also named my husband as co-accused,” she said.
Rajanna was upset over the development. “On Tuesday, Latha asked him how he was still alive when she filed two cases against him. He committed suicide at his room at 11.30pm because of her,” she alleged.
