Bengaluru: Outer Ring Road Metro stations to get aesthetic touch | Bengaluru News – Times of India

BENGALURU: Namma Metro stations along the Outer Ring Road (ORR) in Bengaluru will be an aesthetically elevating experience.
“Stations along the ORR will look and feel different from existing stations in terms of design and architecture,” said a Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) official.
Last year, consulting firm SMEC was awarded a contract to provide detailed design for the elevated viaduct and 18 Metro stations along ORR (Central Silk Board to HBR Layout).
“…The station buildings will reflect Bengaluru’s ‘Garden City’ ethos while ensuring safety, sustainability, and high performance,” said SMEC, in a blog post on its website, while unveiling a design of Agara Lake Metro Station.
“Our specialists are delivering complicated and varied design concepts, including concept to construction drawings on architecture, structure, electrical elements, plumbing and drainage, fire detection, fire-fighting services and traffic diversion plans…,” it added.
