Entry screening guidelines and other covid norms must be followed by the delivery agents

The doorstep delivery service, which was earlier banned in apartment complexes in the wake of rising covid cases, has now been permitted by Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP). As per the latest circular, “Doorstep delivery services may be resumed. However, entry screening guidelines to be in place along with all guidelines of covid-appropriate-behaviour (CAB) is applicable to delivery personnel. As far as possible, contact-less delivery options may be availed.”

The BBMP had earlier imposed a number of restrictions for resident welfare associations as many were reporting cluster cases. “In view of the existing covid-19 situation in Bengaluru, where there is a gradual and steady decline in positivity and number of cases, a num ber of relaxations have been made. Gymnasiums and sports facilities within the premises may be utilised ensuring CAB and caution should be observed that these places do not get converted into socialising or meeting points.

Club houses, community halls and other common closed places are now open for events, classes and social functions, maintaining strict CAB and access control measures, ensuring no overcrowding. More than 400 people won’t be allowed in at any given time,” the circular added.

It also states that if any resident or their family members have undertaken interstate or international travel, they have to follow the latest testing and quarantine guidelines of the State Government. However, swimming pools are not permitted to be used inside the apartment complexes.

Currently, the active containment zones have fallen down to 46. Bommanahalli has 14 followed by 11 in east zone while Dasarahalli has no containment zones.
