Big Bash League finals – everything to know before the game

The 10th season of the Big Bash League is in its final stage with the defending champions, Sydney Sixers having secured a spot in the Final. The team favored by cricket betting tips and predictions for the BBL final depends on the result of the Challenger game between PRS and BRH.

Road to the finals

Sixers defeated an in-form Perth Scorchers in the Qualifier game by 9 wickets. PRS had a rather poor start in this season and pulled themselves up later. Another team with a similar trajectory through the league stage was Brisbane Heat, who defeated Sydney Thunder to qualify for the Knockout match against Scorchers.

While Perth Scorchers start as favorites to win against Brisbane and reach the finals, they will have a huge task of keeping the Sixers’ batting lineup silent. With Moises Henriques in the middle-order and the big match finisher Daniel Christian to follow in at number 6, Syney Sixers have a formidable batting lineup.

While Brisbane Heat did a good job with the ball in the Knockout match, their bowling attack doesn’t seem to have what it takes to overpower Sydney Sixers in a Final.

Most Probable Challengers

If there is a team that can pose a challenge to the defending champions, it is Perth Scorchers. Jhye Richardson, Jason Behrendorff, and Fawad Ahmed are the key wicket-taking bowlers in the Scorchers arsenal. However, the batting order will be a concern for PRS if they take on Sydney Sixers

in the Final.

Perth Scorchers failed to reach the 170-runs mark batting first against SYS on the last two consecutive occasions. If the top 3 – Jason Roy, Liam Livingstone, and Colin Munro fail to lay a solid foundation, the middle-order merely plays a catch-up game to get the side to a par total.

Will Sydney Sixers extend their reign?

Sydney Sixers, on the other hand, have the strongest batting lineup among the BBL teams this season. Punters all over the world are most confident in a SYS win while chasing.
Moreover, after some great bowling performances in recent outings, the skipper must be confident in his bowlers to put the opposition to bat first if Sixers win the toss. Dwarshuis, Steve O’Keefe, and Sean Abbott make for a disciplined bowling attack. They are well supported by Carlos Brathwaite and Dan Christian who are reliable options for providing a breakthrough.

There are many factors pointing toward an extended Sydney Sixers reign. However, if PRS makes it to the Finals, we will be in for an exciting contest.
