On October 14, there will be a solar eclipse called “Ring of Fire.”
According to NASA, a “ring of fire” or annular solar eclipse will cross the United States from the Oregon coast to the Gulf of Mexico. A ring of fire emerges in the sky during this unusual phenomenon, which happens when the Moon passes directly in front of the Sun but is too tiny to totally obscure the Sun’s surface.
Save the date for a solar eclipse: On Oct. 14, a "ring of fire," or annular, eclipse will travel from the U.S. Oregon coast to the Gulf of Mexico.
