Porsche crash: Dean is placed on leave, and two Sassoon Hospital doctors are suspended MUMBAI: Two days after their arrest about the purported manipulation of the minor driver’s blood sample in the Pune Porsche incident, the Maharashtra government banned two physicians and a staff member from the state-run Sassoon General Hospital on Wednesday.

Separately, Dr. Vinayak Kale, dean of BJ Medical College and Sassoon Civil Hospital, has been placed on mandatory leave, and Dr. Chandrakant Mhaske has been given extra responsibility.

On the suggestion of the commissioner of the Maharashtra Medical Education Department, Drs. Ajay Taware, professor and head of the forensic medicine department, and Shrihari Halnor, medical officer, were suspended.
