Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to participate in the culmination of Vijaya Sankalpa Yatre, at Karnataka’s Davangere on March 25. The PM will also inaugurate Sri Madhusudan Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research at Chikkaballapur on the same day.

The Vijaya Sankalpa Yatra is BJP’s assembly election campaign which is said to be of 8,000 kilometers long and it will end on March 25. The 20-day state-wide tour, which began from four different parts of the state, in specially designed vehicles or ‘Rathas’, was kickstarted on March 1 by BJP national President J P Nadda at Male Mahadeshwara Hills in Chamarajanagar district. Several senior BJP leaders, Chief Ministers of other BJP-governed states, and Union Ministers have taken part in the programme which is aimed at bringing the Congress party back to power.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister will also visit Bengaluru and inaugurate the newly built KR Puram – Whitefield metro station. The 13-kilometer metro line is expected to ease the commute at the stretch that has many IT parks and offices. The KR Puram-Whitefield line will have 12 metro stations which include Whitefield, Channasandra, Kadugodi, Pattandur Agrahara, Sri Satya Sai Hospital, Nallur Halli, Kundalahalli, Seetharam Palya, Hoodi Junction, Garudacharpalya, Mahadevapura and KR Puram.

This will be PM Modi’s seventh visit to the poll bound state this year. The elections in Karnataka are likely to be held in May.
