He quoted a thread by Subhashini Chandramani, a nature lover, gardener, and artist, which touched on the ‘Garden City’s’ flora during different seasons. She also described various trees that have found a home in Bengaluru, including the popular pink Tabebuia Rosea trees, that have social media buzzing with a horde of pictures.

“The city’s perennial flowering trees include Nagalinga flower (Couroupita Guianensis), Nile Tulip tree (golden blooms with wavy seedpods), Portia tree, and the orange Geiger flowers,” Subhashini Chandramani wrote in one of her tweets.

“This is an interesting thread on Bengaluru and it’s trees. Bengaluru has a very deep bond with nature including trees and lakes. I would also urge others to showcase such aspects of their towns and cities. It would be an interesting read,” PM Modi tweeted.
