Bengaluru city had torrential rains, thunder, and lightning on Thursday evening, the final day of an otherwise dry August. HAL Airport had 52mm of rain, compared to 64.8mm in Bengaluru City.
In the meantime, Bengaluru is expected to receive heavy rain measuring between 6 cm and 11 cm over the next two days, according to a yellow advisory from the India Meteorological Department (IMD). Rainfall totals in the West Zone were 111.5mm in Rajmahal Guttahalli and 89.5mm in Vidyaranyapura.

In Yelahanka’s Bhadrappa Layout, Shivajinagar’s Chinnappa Garden, Chamarajpet, and Kamakshipalya, numerous homes were flooded.
Magadi Road, Mysuru Road, Outer Ring Road, Electronics City, Old Airport Road, and Koramangala were among the routes that were flooded. Additionally, the city’s traffic was said to be flowing slowly.
