On September 6, the Metro Mitra app will be made available to commuters in Bengaluru.
The “Metro Mitra” app will be released on September 6 by the city auto union in an effort to improve Bengaluru’s last-mile connection infrastructure. Metro Mitra is anticipated to be a new lifeline for metro users in Bengaluru to commute between the final destinations and metro stations following the success of Namma Yatri, the online auto rickshaw booking app. The inauguration will now take place on Wednesday instead of the anticipated launch date of August.

Describe Metro Mitra.
Together with Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL), the Auto Rickshaw Drivers Union (ARDU) of Bengaluru has developed an app that would enable Namma metro commuters to book auto trips through Metro Mitra. Metro Mitra, in contrast to other aggregator applications, is only for metro users and will be accessible from and to all Bengaluru metro stations.
The app’s auto tariffs will adhere exactly to the government-set auto fares, making it easy for users to access the metro.
