India’s first regional rapid train system, “NaMo Bharat,” was launched by PM Modi in UP.
On Friday in Sahibabad, Uttar Pradesh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi opened the priority portion of the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS Corridor. It was previously known as “NaMo Bharat” and is India’s first regional rapid train service. Five stations, Sahibabad, Ghaziabad, Guldhar, Duhai, and Duhai Depot, make up the 17-kilometer segment. The trains will travel at a 160 km/hr speed.

After inaugurating the first train on the priority part of the 82-km Delhi-Meerut RRTS today, PM Modi spoke at the event. When this project was finished in its entirety in the following 12 to 18 months, he declared that he would be at the people’s service.
