Ritesh Sidhwani described their upcoming online series Bambai Meri Jaan as “a gripping gangster thriller, exploring the classic, universal battle of good versus evil.” The drama has a strong cast that includes key roles for Kay Kay Menon, Avinash Tiwary, Kritika Kamra, Nivedita Bhattacharya, and Amyra Dastur. It will debut on Amazon Prime Video on September 14 and is sponsored by Ritesh, Kassim Jagmagia, and Farhan Akhtar of Excel Media and Entertainment.
The father and son characters in the program will depict the two sides of the same coin. It’s a story that follows the development of a young man named Dara Kadri (played by Tiwary) against the backdrop of post-independence Mumbai. He must choose between continuing his father’s (Menon’s) history of law enforcement and entering the criminal underworld on his own, which is unavoidable.
Ritesh Sidhwani provided additional information about the program, stating, “Bambai Meri Jaan, set in the post-independence era, traces the beginnings of the underworld in Mumbai set against the backdrop of a free nation. A compelling mob thriller that explores the age-old, all-encompassing conflict between good and evil will be presented to viewers.
