On Monday afternoon, Netherlands Prime Minister Mark Rutte cycled and walked down Church Street before arriving at Chai Point for a cup of masala chai. Rutte stated that the Netherlands is eager to expand economic collaboration with Karnataka during his remarks at the CEO Round Table Meeting held at Vidhana Soudha.

At a round table discussion conducted at Vidhana Soudha, Mark Rutte, who traveled to India to attend the G20 Summit, talked about potential business opportunities and economic ties with Karnataka.

Church Street in Bengaluru’s downtown

On Monday, I had a wonderful guest. Breaking out from his security perimeter, Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte went for a stroll and paid for his tea at a nearby cafe using India’s Unified Payments Interface (UPI).

Rutte told reporters that he enjoyed taking a leisurely stroll down Church Street and that the UPI system’s ease of use had astounded him.
