To fill a need, KSRTC will purchase 200 secondhand buses from BMTC.
Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation plans to buy 200 pre-owned buses from Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation to make up for the lack of vehicles in its fleet. In cities like Mysuru, Tumakuru, and Davanagere, these buses will run.
Due to a number of reasons, including the lack of financial assistance from the government during the COVID-19 epidemic, KSRTC was unable to purchase new buses on a big scale. As a result, the company has put off phase-out of its outdated buses.
KSRTC currently operates 1,812 buses with a combined mileage of nearly 13 lakh kilometers. There are 8,094 buses in the fleet. Only about 130 of them have been driven for under 3 lakh kilometers.
