From now on, everyone who tests positive for COVID-19 must spend seven days alone at home while their symptomatic primary contacts are tested.
In light of the discovery of the JN.1 subvariant, a cabinet subcommittee on Covid 19 convened on Tuesday, led by Health Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao, made a resolution to this effect.

Physicians and personnel from Namma clinics and UPHCs will visit all home-bound and general ward COVID-19 admissions. Every day, some 5,000 Covid tests need to be completed.
