Kannada TV Reality Show Contestant Arrested For Possessing Tiger Claws
Forest department agents apprehended a Kannada TV reality show contestant off the set on suspicion of possessing tiger claws, which are illegal under the Wildlife Act of 1972.
Varthur Santosh, the accused, has been wearing a pair of the claws in his locket for several years on the advice of a friend. He hoped that his claws would earn him fame and money.

After being alerted by their superiors, Bengaluru Urban Forest officers filed a case against Santosh and went to the reality show’s location in Kommaghatta, near Bidadi in Ramanagara district, where he was arrested.
