Heavy rain in Bengaluru causes flooding and traffic jams.
On Monday, heavy rain lashed Bengaluru, causing numerous roadways to get flooded. Knee-deep flooding swamped some underpasses.
Heavy rains were reported in several localities, including Malleswaram, Shantinagar, Mysore Bank, and Town Hall. People shared videos on social media of flooded roads, downpours, and slow-moving traffic.

The Bengaluru Traffic Police uploaded a video of automobiles traveling slowly on both sides of a road.
While there was a brief respite from storms in the evening, downpours resumed late Monday night. The underpasses at Srirampur and Lingarjpura were flooded.
Meanwhile, at midnight, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar paid a surprise visit to the war room of the civic body Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) headquarters at Hudson Circle.
