Gruha Lakshmi registrations are suspended in part by the Karnataka government.
The Child and Women Development Department announced that registrations would restart soon and that a date would be soon announced.
Beginning on Thursday, the Karnataka government will only accept applications for a portion of the Gruha Lakshmi program. The decision was made by the Karnataka Department of Women and Child Development to prevent confusion when beneficiaries received their 2000 first installment.
The Child and Women Development Department announced that registrations would restart soon and that a date would be soon announced. The Gruha Lakshmi scheme was introduced by the Karnataka government in Mysuru during the final week of August in the presence of Rahul Gandhi, a Congress representative, and Mallikarjun Kharge, the party’s national president.
The program offers monthly monetary assistance to female heads of families in the state in the amount of ₹2,000. Gandhi used direct benefit transfer (DBT) to instantly send the funds into the Gruha Lakshmi Yojana beneficiaries’ bank accounts.
