The Gruha Lakshmi scheme was introduced by the Karnataka government in Mysuru during the final week of August in the presence of Rahul Gandhi, a Congress representative, and Mallikarjun Kharge, the party’s national president.
The program offers monthly monetary assistance to female heads of families in the state in the amount of ₹2,000. Gandhi used direct benefit transfer (DBT) to instantly send the funds into the Gruha Lakshmi Yojana beneficiaries’ bank accounts.
