An engine malfunction on an IndiGo flight from Kolkata to Bengaluru was reported, however the aircraft landed without incident.

An engine issue on a flight on its way to Bengaluru on Tuesday caused a mid-flight fright, but the aircraft made a safe landing without any injuries, according to news agency ANI.

This follows a similar occurrence with an aircraft of the same carrier from Madurai to Mumbai that happened just hours earlier.

When the IndiGo flight reported a problem with its second engine, it had already taken off from Kolkata and was halfway to the capital of Karnataka.
