CM Siddaramaiah Allocate Rs 230 cr for laptops to SC/ST students in universities
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah gave the go-ahead to provide laptops to students from Scheduled Caste and Schedule Tribes attending universities covered by SCSP/T.S.P. Senior representatives from the higher education department and vice chancellors of universities under the control of the state government met to make this decision.

During the meeting, the chief minister gave P Manivannan, the department’s principal secretary for social welfare, a phone order to raise Rs 230 crore for this use. Every university student from every community should receive a laptop. He promised that the necessary steps will be made in the upcoming days.
