The team is preparing to premiere the live-action adaptation of the beloved animated film Chhota Bheem and the Curse of Damyaan, starring Anupam Kher, more than ten years after the original was released. The makers of the movie, also known as Chhota Bheem and the Curse of Damyaan, released a trailer on Tuesday.
Kher portrays Guru Shambhu in Chhota Bheem and the Curse of Damyaan, Makarand Deshpande portrays Skandhi, and Yagya Bhasin plays the title character. Aashriya Mishra and Surabhi Tiwari also appear in the movie, directed by Rajiv Chilaka, who oversaw the 2012 animated feature of the same name.

The teaser shows Chhota Bheem traveling back in time by a thousand years to battle evil with the aid of Guru Shambhu and his crew, played by Anupam Kher. The action moments of Bheem are shown in the teaser, which is set to the thumping music of Raghav Sachar and may be particularly appealing to children.

Niraj Vikram and Sridisha Dipl wrote the script for the movie, Mukesh Chhabra oversaw casting and Junaid Ullah oversaw the visual effects. Chhota Bheem was referred to as one of the most adored characters in the animation industry by director Rajiv Chilaka, who also produced the movie, in an earlier interview with ANI.
“It was about time we gave him life, and I know that kids and families everywhere would appreciate it.
I can’t wait to show you all because our cast has worked so hard on it,” he had previously added. The movie is scheduled to premiere in May 2024.
