Bengaluru Police Halt Ed Sheeran’s Streetside Performance Due to Crowd Concerns
Bengaluru | On the incident where singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran’s Streetside performance was stopped by Police in Bengaluru, DCP Central Bengaluru Shekar T Tekkannanavar says, “A member among the event organizers came to meet me to seek permission for the Streetside performance at Church Street. I refused to give permission because Church Street gets very crowded. That is the reason he was asked to vacate the place”

Ed clarified on his Instagram stories that it wasn’t a “surprise” that he was playing there after the Bengaluru police interrupted his performance. He didn’t read, “By the way, we were allowed to busk, so we played there. It wasn’t just us showing up at random; it was planned out beforehand.” But everything is OK. I’ll see you at the performance tonight, x. Additionally, he uploaded a photo expressing his excitement about performing in the city on “Night 2.”
