Amul increased milk price by Rs 2 per liter starting Monday.
NEW DELHI: The Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), which promotes dairy goods under the ‘Amul’ brand, raised milk prices across the country by around Rs 2 per liter from Monday.
The Rs 2 per liter increase equates to a 3-4 percent increase in MRP, which is significantly lower than average food inflation, according to a late-night announcement from the GCMMF.
The price increase announcement comes after the Lok Sabha elections have concluded.
