A woman from Bengaluru discovers a dead cockroach in food she ordered from Zomato.
Bengaluru: A Zomato client in Bengaluru had an unexpected turn of events when her chicken fried rice order arrived with an unpleasant surprise–a dead cockroach. Harshitha, the outraged client, captured the incident in a video published on social media, pleading on Zomato to take immediate action. In a timely response, the corporation acknowledged the issue and addressed the customer’s complaints in an online post.
On December 12, Harshitha took to X (previously Twitter) and published a video of the dead insect on a plate of chicken fried rice she ordered from Zomato. The meal was brought by ‘Tapri By The Corner,’ a restaurant in Koramangala’s 5th Block. She tagged Zomato, its CEO Deepinder Goyal, and the Government of India’s Department of Consumer Affairs, emphasizing the gravity of the situation. “I’m completely disgusted with my order!” This is both unacceptable and unsanitary. “We require an immediate resolution,” stated the caption.
