BENGALURU: Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa, a prominent Kannada cinema actor, and his close friend and actress Pavithra Gowda were arrested on Tuesday in connection with the murder of a man who allegedly made “derogatory” remarks about her, police said.
Darshan, also known as the ‘Challenging Star’, and 12 others were questioned by police after being arrested in connection with the alleged murder of Renukaswamy, whose body was discovered here on June 9. Later, they were all arrested.
They were brought before a Bengaluru Magistrate Court, where they were remanded to six days’ police custody.
