Darshan Thoogudeepa, a renowned Kannada cinema actor, was arrested on Tuesday in connection with an alleged murder, according to police sources.
According to authorities, the 47-year-old was arrested at a hotel in Mysuru in connection with the murder of a man named Renuka Swamy on June 9 within the Kamakshipalya police station’s jurisdiction.
Swamy, who worked for a pharmacy company and was from the district headquarters town of Chitradurga, was allegedly killed and his body was thrown into a stormwater drain in Kamakshipalya.
