MUMBAI: Navi Mumbai police penetrated the Lawrence Bishnoi gang’s social media networks, including WhatsApp, before apprehending four of its members for allegedly preparing to assassinate actor Salman Khan, an official said on Saturday.
The action comes months after police made arrests in connection with a shooting outside the actor’s Bandra residence in Mumbai.
Vivek Pansare, Deputy Commissioner of Police Zone II (Panvel), told the reporters that senior inspector Nitin Thackeray from Panvel police station received information of a conspiracy to injure the actor in September-October of last year.
