NEW DELHI: Wipro shareholders approved a USD 4.3 million cash severance compensation for Thierry Delaporte, the company’s former CEO, and Managing Director, with 89.7% voting in favor of the motion.
In April of this year, the Bengaluru-based Indian IT company announced Delaporte’s retirement and appointed Srinivas Pallia as the new CEO.
According to a BSE filing, 89.7% of voters approved the resolution to pay USD 4.33 million in cash compensation and appropriate social security contributions to Delaporte, with 10.31% voting against it.
