BENGALURU: Suspended JD(S) MP Prajwal Revanna, who is facing sexual assault charges, was remanded in police jail on Friday, hours after being nabbed by a special squad on his return from Germany.
A special court in the city placed him into police custody until June 6. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) apprehended Prajwal in the early hours of Friday, only minutes after he arrived from Germany after midnight.
He left the country on April 27. In a clear message early in the day, a team of women police personnel ‘welcomed’ Prajwal Revanna upon his arrival here, as they were deputed to execute a warrant and transport him to the CID office.
