Rahul Gandhi visits Golden Temple for the second day in Punjabi, As Rahul performs seva
Tuesday was Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s second day of visits to the Golden Temple. During his ‘ seva’, Gandhi served food to pilgrims, washed dishes, and picked shoes at the ‘joda ghar’ while also peeling vegetables for the ‘langar’. He entered the sanctum sanctorum and made his homage before leaving.
While claiming to have offered Gandhi every assistance during his visit to the Darbar Sahib, the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) general secretary brought up 1984 and questioned the reason for the Congress leader’s stay, which was longer than that of any other non-Sikh politician.
