The Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) were fined by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) for failing to install pollution control equipment. IOC was fined ₹1 crore, while BPCL was penalized ₹2 crore.
