Driver Arrested for Murder of Geologist in Bengaluru: He Killed Her Because She Fired Him From Job
A former driver who had recently been fired was arrested on Monday after admitting to the murder of a senior geologist in her Bengaluru home.
Prathima K S, a Department of Mines and Geology employee, had employed the driver, Kiran, for four years. However, just a week before the incident, he was replaced and then fired from his employment.

During police questioning, the 32-year-old driver admitted to killing Prathima because he was distraught about losing his job and that he was frequently chastised for his dangerous driving.
He apologized and begged the 45-year-old geologist to reinstate him, but when she refused, he killed her.
