Women’s Big Bash League – 30th Match of the WBBL between the Sydney Thunder and the Hobart Hurricanes.

The 30th game of the WBBL 2023 will be played on November 9 at the Cricket Central in Sydney between the Sydney Thunder and the Hobart Hurricanes.

This season, Sydney Thunder are ranked second in the points table. They defeated the Brisbane Heat by eight runs in their most recent game, giving them their fifth and third straight victory.

Tahlia Wilson led the Sydney Thunder with 83 runs, while Chamari Athapaththu hit a half-century off 31 deliveries. In response, Courtney Sippel was the Thunder bowler of choice, taking 2-29.

After three consecutive victories, the Hobart Hurricanes were defeated by the Brisbane Heat by six wickets. Ellyse Villani was the only performer, striking an undefeated half-century and being supported by Ruth Johnston’s 26. As the team reached 120-8, the rest of the batting lineup was knocked out in single digits.

The Hurricanes’ bowling assault captured four wickets but were unable to prevent the opponents from achieving the goal.
