In Karnataka, Covid-19 cases double in 48 hours.

Due to heightened testing in response to a surge in Covid-19 instances in Karnataka, the state has seen a doubling of the number of cases recorded in the last 48 hours – from 28 on Monday to 79 on Wednesday morning.

In the previous two days, one Covid-related death has been reported in Karnataka.
According to daily updates from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MOHFW), 79 cases had been reported throughout the state as of 8 a.m. Wednesday, a 35-case rise from Tuesday.
According to the Centre’s data, the number increased by 35 instances on Tuesday, to 44 from 28 on Monday. On Sunday, there were only six additional instances reported.
The neighboring state of Kerala has the most active cases, with 2,041 as of Wednesday. The number of reported cases has climbed by 336 in the last 48 hours (112 from Monday to Tuesday and 224 from Tuesday to Wednesday). Between Tuesday and Wednesday, three people were killed in Kerala.
