Victims Identified: Bengaluru and Shivamogga Families Affected

Among the deceased was Bharath Bhushan, a resident of Mattikere in Bengaluru, who was vacationing with his wife Sujatha and their three-year-old son. According to reports, Bharath was shot at close range while his wife and child escaped the horror unscathed. The emotional toll on the young mother and child is unimaginable.

Also among the victims was Manjunath Rao, a realtor from Shivamogga, who had been on a separate trip with his own family. Both families were not traveling together, underscoring how widespread the impact of the attack was.

Official Response and Support

Bengaluru South MP Tejasvi Surya took swift action, reaching out to Sujatha and coordinating with local authorities in Jammu and Kashmir. Through his intervention, arrangements are being made to bring the survivors and other affected individuals back to Bengaluru safely. His efforts were shared via social media, where he expressed solidarity with the grieving families.

The Karnataka government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, has responded by dispatching two special teams to Jammu and Kashmir. These include a team of senior officers, police personnel, and a specialized adventure team from the Sports Department, headed by Commissioner Chethan, to offer logistical and moral support.

Nation Stands in Mourning

This tragic incident is a grim reminder of the unpredictable dangers that still linger in some parts of our country. As Karnataka mourns the loss of its citizens, efforts are being made at every level to provide closure, justice, and comfort to the affected families.
