Bengaluru Horror: Woman’s Body Found Stuffed in Suitcase, Husband Detained
Bengaluru, March 28, 2025: A shocking crime has come to light in Bengaluru, where a woman's body was discovered stuffed inside a suitcase in her apartment. The victim, identified as Gauri Khedekar, was allegedly murdered by her husband, Rakesh Rajendra Khedekar, who later fled the city.
The incident took place in Doddakammanahalli, under the Hulimavu police station limits. The couple had been living in a rented third-floor apartment since February 2025. Rakesh, a project manager at a reputed private firm, was working from home, while Gauri, who held a bachelor's degree in mass media, was actively seeking employment.
According to police sources, Rakesh left for Mumbai on Tuesday. Shockingly, on Thursday evening, he allegedly called the landlord and confessed to killing his wife. Alarmed, the landlord immediately contacted the police control room around 5:30 PM.
Following the tip-off, police arrived at the apartment and discovered Gauri’s lifeless body inside a suitcase. Investigators launched a manhunt for Rakesh, who had escaped to Pune. With the help of their counterparts in Maharashtra, Bengaluru police tracked him down and detained him.
Rakesh is currently being brought back to Bengaluru for questioning. Authorities are investigating the motive behind the gruesome crime, with initial reports suggesting domestic disputes.
The tragic incident has sent shockwaves across the city, raising concerns about rising domestic violence cases. The police continue their probe, and further details are expected to emerge soon.
